Creaking dash - Page 4

Good luck casper. Been down that road. Dealer tried to fix it by just banging on it. They drove it and said it was fixed. On the way out of the driveway, it started back up again. They don't have a 'fix' for it, not officially, and Hyundai does not recognize any third party (IE these type of forums) as any kind of 'official information or documentation' to base their corrective actions on.

I'll hate to trade it in because i really dig its style but the creaking sound i heard last night was unbearable. I did not hear it the following morning. This is consistent with a lot of your complaints. After awhile it will go away and then will come back. I was advised that if i like santa fe that i should wait for the second year of the new redesigned vehicle so that bugs are ironed out, or most bugs known on the first generation. Maybe they were right

Mine is doing it too but it seems to only do it when it is cold and sounds like it is coming from the center speaker in the dash. I will get htme to look at when I take it in for the 8K service.

same here ncbeast, in fact after that one time, I havent heard it again and I hope not to. It will be hard for them to look at it when they are not hearing it. Hyundai got back to me and they said they will they will forward my concern to a certain department and was asked to bring the car to a close dealer. I will wait some more

I'll repost the video of my dash rattle at 1500 miles, now at 2200, rattle going strong. Seems to be near the speaker, maybe towards the pax seat more. Very annoying, will have it looked at at 1st service youtube

****, that's bad. I'd bring it in before the service is due, this is too much to accept.

Boy, that`s bad...When you visit the dealer, why not 'borrow' his computer and go to the youtube video that you posted, and show him...That`s unacceptable...

I really hope that Hyundai gets together a fix for you guys. I would not be able to tolerate a noise like that.

I heard this again today twice and weather was only -6. I just freakin hope that whwn I bring this to the dealer that it will be present. I so hate this, really really frustrating
