Now, I've enjoyed driving my wife's new car so much that I want one, but I'm torn about what color to get. My original choice has been white, but I'd like to get all your opinions as to whether it's a more feminine color in this style car. The mineral gray looks cool too and I "think" I like the cabo bronze from the photos on Hyundai's website.

What do you all think?
You can never go wrong with Silver! Moonstone Silver! Any car you get you will get scratches and with silver you cannot see it in detail like any other color. I have had many different color of cars and they all look good when you buy them from the dealer but after months and years go by you notice many scratches. Having silver helps with hiding all the scratches. The color silver when you buy from the dealer looks great after months and years.

I agree that silver is the lowest maintenance of all colors. Wouldnt mineral gray be fairly low maintenance too?

Yes Mineral Gray would be fairly low maintenance from a dirt standpoint. It probably would show scratches more readily than silver because the mineral gray is significantly darker. To me, the Silver looks like a primer color. Not impressed. But that is just me and it is a personal preference of course.

As far as scratches.....I take very good care of my cars and don't consider a car based on how a scratch would look. I have a dark blue 2002 GMC truck that looks almost like the day it was new and I use theat truck a lot for hauling wood, hunting, etc. I also have a 2008 Enclave in dark red that looks new too. I don't set boxes of groceries or other things gs on it either. 90% of scratches I feel comes from people being careless with their vehicles. Yep, occasionally bad luck will intervene and a grocery cart will have a meeting with your car but that is pretty rare. At least where I live anyhow.

Keep in mind some owners of the grey had issues with the paint. Not sure which colour it was the mineral grey or silver. But check it out before you buy it.

Thanks for the insight. I'll be sure to stay away from automatic car washes too...I hear those are the worst at creating minor scratches and swirls.

Good call. I hadn't heard about the paint issues before, so I'll be sure to be on the lookout when the car arrives.

I believe it is the moonstone silver that has the issues. I looked at one at a dealer and noticed the inconsistency in the color immediately.

Well, I just picked up my new Santa Fe tonight in mineral gray exterior, and wow. I'm honestly not just being biased, but the color is awesome. Even my wife, who has a black one, thought it looked way better in real life than in the pictures. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to everyone for your advice...it really helped me to nail this.

Congrats on your new vehicle!!

Yeah, that Mineral Gray has a LOT of metallic in it doesn't it. As I stated earlier I am not a Gray fan but after seeing that one I really like it. Pictures do not do it justice.
