Default Snow Tires

Suggestions for the 19" wheels and studless?

I ran Blizzaks for my last two sets and liked them. Interested in others possibly.

Why not step down to 16" or 17" and save some money.

Agreed. 17's with snows for me next year. Going to use the stock setup this winter since they tires are still new and plenty of tread.

+1 for dropping down. I do find the steering more "mushy" and the ride more bouncy though. But in the winter, who cares.

3 winters ago, I purchased a set of inexpensive 17"gunmetal alloys (down from my 19" OEM) and slapped a set of Toyo Open Country G-02 plus winters and never looked back. They have been excellent in snow and on ice on my Toyota Highlander. I have thought of Blizzaks, but have heard they wear extremely fast. So far, excellent tread wear on the Toyos. Will probably get them again if and when I get myself a SF LWB early next year.

Just puchased snow tires and rims for mine. Rim is Momo Winter Black 17 inch with Michelin ALatitude X-Ice 235 65 XL. Living out in Colorado it is great to have snow tires! Package price was $1100 and these will last me for at least four winters with a 40,000 mile warranty on the Michelin tires. The 16 inch rim will not fit the car and going up to a 18 or 19 inch rim will cost you lost of money!

Picked up some 17's off of Craigslist from a Sonata for $175. Mounted them up with Hankook Winter I'Cept Evo W310's in 235/65/17 (shipped from Discount tire direct for $540!) for a total mounted and balanced for $765.

Nice! wasn't aware that Sonata wheels fit. Sounds like a good budget option.

Looks great! Love the black wheel look - especially for winter.
