I tried without ECO & with and maybe, I get a tenth or two better with it on. Today, I had the driver seat's rails replaced and asked about the debit card since I bought before the new stickers came out and they couldn't find where my vehicle qualified so I had to call the MPG call center and get it straightened out. I mailed the form to them today. We'll see how much they give me..... I love the Santa Fe, too bad it doesn't get the mileage I was hoping for. I'm keeping it for awhile.
You should not have had to do that...Any vehicle purchased before Nov. 2nd. qualifies, and if they entered your vin # correctly, it should have popped up....When you called the MPG call center, was it straightened out and did they confirm that your vehicle qualified?

Default MPG Call Center

Yes, they confirmed that my vehicle qualified and asked me to complete the claim form and send it in, which I did. I know that my vin # should have poped up, I am finding that I have to stay aware of what the dealer is doing and not take no for an answer when I know better. An example of that is the rocking driver's seat. I reported that the week after I bought the car (1st week of Oct), they told me that all the leather seats did that and there was no fix yet. I complained about it again at my 3000 mile service and they finally ordered the new rails and changed them out yesterday. I like this forum, I read all of the issues people report and check my vehicle for similar issues. There isn't much I can do about the gas mileage, that disappoints me, but, I like the vehicle and plan on keeping it for a few years, at least.

Yes, I`m lucky to have two different dealers with-in a 20 minute drive of me. I`ll see which one seems to be on top of things better....First oil change is coming up in another 600 miles.

I know it's a 2.4 engine, but AWD or FWD?
John

I have a 2013 Santa Fe 2.0T Sport. 1750 kms bought Dec. 1, 2013. I had the fuel gauge problem - was advised of a recall for a software update and had it installed 3 weeks ago. Guage now works fine. However my gas mileage sucks. Last three calculations:
Jan. 5th - 15.7l/100kms
Jan. 14th- 13.7/100kms
Jan. 25th – 15.06l/100kms.

No where near stated Canadian Transport Canada and Hyundai published rating of 11.0l/100kms for City driving. Others having same issue?

Hmmm. Well I think they may be headed for another lawsuit on fuel consumption where I understand they now pay a monthly stipend to compensate on the older Santa Fes. My dealer is helping prepare a "go on the record" letter to Hyundai Canada.
