I think Eco mode is B.S., it makes the engine less efficient and you need to floor it to move, so that might make it worse, turn if off and don't floor it every 5 minutes, should get better mpg.

I have over 6000 miles on my 2.0T and rarely get below 20mpg. I never use the eco button.
I have taken several trips on the interstate > 800 miles and on each I have averaged around 23mpg with 25 being the highest. In fact, on my last trip, I tried below 70mph for a tank full of gas and 80mph for the next tank and got better mileage at the faster speed..don't ask me how??
Typically in town with around 50% highway driving I am at 20-22mpg. I am a leadfoot as well. I like hearing the engine/turbo work.

3200 miles. 24-26.3 mpg mostly rural with occasional stoplights and max of 65 mph. dashboard mpg meter reads 1-2 mpg better than actual. Actual figures are after 2.5% low odometer correction. Odometer is short 2.5 miles in 100. Speedometer is correct.

Joe is right..It`s not what it`s built-up to be..

Try this..R.P.M.`s burn gas...Sooo.....To keep the R.P.M.`s down below 2000 when starting out, use the Shiftronic feature of your transmission....It`s also kinda fun to use, and you`ll get the hang of it fast.

I'm an old fart and I think it does work in slower traffic. I don't like "lugging" my engine so the slight increase of mpg might not be worth it.

aero77...Now that a few months have gone by, are you still happy with the fuel gauge 'fix'?

Cheers...

By "old fart", I mean those that drive 20 mph under the speed limit, and take 2 minutes to go from 0 to 40 mph.

Default MPG Average and Debit Card

I have a little over 3200 miles on my Sante Fe 2.0T and with mostly short hops around town and about 30 miles a day average driving, I am consistantly getting about 16.5 mpg and the dash reads a tenth or two higher usually. I tried without ECO & with and maybe, I get a tenth or two better with it on. Today, I had the driver seat's rails replaced and asked about the debit card since I bought before the new stickers came out and they couldn't find where my vehicle qualified so I had to call the MPG call center and get it straightened out. I mailed the form to them today. We'll see how much they give me..... I love the Santa Fe, too bad it doesn't get the mileage I was hoping for. I'm keeping it for awhile.
