Thanks. Hopefully they will have one soon for the wacky fuel gauge. I will keep sending them emails about it. Sooner or later they will listen. Will also complain about it every time I take it in for service.

My odometer is 2% too low (speedometer is correct) and the in dash mpg calculator is just short of 2 mpg hi. After making all the corrections, I'm getting 25.3 when the in dash calculator says 27.1, mostly highway. When I take it in for the complimentary oil change, I'll see if the can do anything with the odometer and maybe the mpg guessemater.

I make a 98± mile trip 4 times per week. 5 of the 7 vehicles I have used for this trip log the trip between 97.8 and 98.1. The other two vehicles have non standard gears in a Vette and oversize tires on a truck. Mapquest says the trip is 98.0. My last two Garmin's said 98 plus or minus .1. It has been my experience that Mapquest is quite accurate with the mileage if you follow their route. My Santa Fe logs the trip at 95.9-96.2. The speedometer is correct at all speeds according to the GPS. This will be nice extending my warranty by 2k but I'd rather have an accurate odometer. I hope they can adjust the odo without messing with the speedo.

If mine was registering -2% miles on the odometer, I think I would leave it for the added warranty you mentioned. John |

I want to be super clear that I feel Hyundai is by far the best value on the market. Yesterday was it's first test on un-plowed snow that a lot of vehicles were having big trouble with but even uphill and a standing start....no problem. I hope Hyundai can fix the odometer with a program change or whatever but it is not close to a real problem with me. The Santa Fe replaced an '05 fully loaded Yukon and the only thing the Yukon did better(except for the odometer and mpg computer) was it could haul 8k lbs. The Santa saves me over $80 a month in fuel, is more comfortable than the Yukon, much quieter and regardless what Motor Trend says, it is quick. Every time I merge into Interstate traffic, it is hard to believe it is a 4 banger.
