Are you listening Hyundai? There is a class action lawsuit coming your way and it looks to be well deserved!
You are aware that is the mileage they say you are supposed to be getting.

@OnTheGround ... definitely keep checking Fuelly #'s for the SF. I'm currently listing the most fill-ups for the 2.0T right now and I've got a clean average of 22.8 MPG which is PERFECTLY FINE for me.

I actually didn't buy the SF based on MPG or economy.

Kendude,
Ok so have established that the fuel economy is not what they said it would be... Get over it! no car is perfect they are all going to have varying ratings of fuel economy. Last week my fuel economy was crap cause I hit every red light, this week my fuel economy was great cause I got to drive on the highway more than city. Your never going to have the best fuel economy period. Stop your complaining! Enjoy the car that is why you bought it. If you bought it for fuel economy then you made a bad decision and you should have bought the chevy volt! I think Dave Graham says it best..." I actually didnt't buy the SF based on the MPG or economy" There are more things about the SF that are great over the competition. Hyundai didnt build this car for you. they built it for everyone.

One thing for sure, it gets better MPG then the Infiniti I traded it in for (06 G35 18-20 mpg). Currently getting 22-24 mpg 60/40 hwy/city and it does it on regular fuel. I thing though, I drove the Infiniti like I stole it.

I agree with your statement for the most part but Kendude does have a valid point. I was really gung-ho about buying the SF because based on the original MPG rating because it was going to save me somewhere around $1000 a year vs my Enclave. Now, had I bought the SF and THEN they revised the MPG numbers I would have been torqued. Now that the MPG estimate has been revised I know what I will be getting into. I know Hyundai has "made it right" through their reimbursement program but I can understand how certain people would still feel "duped" by the initial MPG claim.

Secondly, it is amazing how low of mpg some people get. I place those numbers directly on their driving style. Also their location has to be a huge factor. Stop lights and even medium traffic coupled with stop and go traffic kills MPG. I can routinely get at or above stated MPG on my vehicles because of a fairly conservative driving style and our locale (few stoplights and little traffic).

Third, I still think the SF is the best mid sized CUV out there, even with the adjusted numbers. I am going to go back and test drive a N.A. 2.4L to see if it has enough power for us. Not sure if it will be adequate to tow our pop up camper or not though.

Well , I thought I'd give it a try. Hopefully someone can do something with the info. If the tech who fixed mine has the time to speak with me I will post what he tells me. I would really like everyone to get their fuel situation fixed.

Ummmm NO.. .originally they said I would get 25mpg COMBINED city/highway, PLUS up to 7% more with ECO on. Then they said I would get 23mpg COMBINED, and still up to 7% more with ECO on.

What I actually get is 21mpg COMBINED with ECO on. That's like 10% below the already lowered numbers and 25% below the original promise...

WTH Are you talking about? Have you been paying attention? Evidently Not!

1) Distance to Empty is NOT accurate
2) MPG is over-inflated by 2mpg AVG and NOT accurate
3) Fuel gauge display is NOT accurate and bricks disappear too fast
4) Evidently the Fuel tank AND the sensor had to be replaced in Aero's case.

So I'm just supposed to happily drive a DEFECTIVE car and "like" it because well gee it's got HD radio and my old car didn't have that... ? Are you listening to yourself?

No, I'm sorry but Hyundai needs to FIX these problems and FIX them pronto!

I assumed you have an AWD. For that model 21 mpg is correct. Do you have a FWD?
