Question Trunk 2 golf bags + 1 hand cart?

Wondering which Accent's (year, style, trim) trunk can store 2 golf bags (stacked up would be 48" x 12" x 24") and 1 hand cart (30" x 20" x 12")? Would be nice if you have a photo to share

You'd want the hatchback (GS, SE) not a sedan (GLS)

i have a sedan GLS and i disagree. sure hatchbacks you can put a lot of stuff but hatchbacks require you to pull down the rear seats even for one golf bag, one of the main reasons why i did not want a hatchback for my golf clubs.

in my GLS trunk i've stored two golf cart bags no problem
i've stored two golf bags (1 cart, 1 shoulder) bags and 1 tri-wheel golf cart. (cart in the inside of trunk

i'm pretty sure i could have put in another golf cart (the smaller 2 wheel golf cart)

Pohemia, since you are in Canada, you can ignore their models. We can get the sedan OR hatchback in L, GL or GLS trims. I have a GLS hatchback.

I'm sure all them items you listed would fit in the trunk of the hatchback. I have never placed golf bags in my trunk, but for reference, I have managed to fit four 16" wheels and tires in the back without folding down the seats!

+1^^! I would have to fold the seats down on the SE(hatchback) just go grocery shopping. Overall cargo volume is with the SE with seats down, but for those who want to put items in a trunk and not be seen until needed, definately go with GLS.

Then you buy A LOT of groceries...

The sedan boasts 13.7 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk. The hatchback has 21.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat NOT folded down. Iit has the rear cover thingy that hides what is actually in the back. Although, this is removable if you hace taller items pilled in the back but still want the rear seats up...

Side note, hatchback delivers 47.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.

I was about to say, there's no possible way the sedan has more cargo space than the hatchback even with the rear seats not folded down...

I guess it depends what you want to haul... Cubes are important, but I have to look at what floor space I have.

My wife drives a considerably larger compact hatchback that has about 53 cu ft. with the seats folded down, and around 20 I think with them up. Our three dogs ride in the back seat strapped into harnesses and the crates get broken down and stacked in the back. Her car only has ~30" from rear seat to hatch, whereas my MC has 36" from rear seat to trunk sill. The largest crate won't fit in her car with the rear seats up as the hatch won't close, so we're always stuck driving mine on trips. Can't really get a smaller crate, our biggest girl is too big for the next size down.

For bulky items, it's much easier with a hatch with the seats folded. Hauling longer items and retaining use of the seats, sometimes the sedan is better. I wish I could have both without buying an overly large vehicle.

I cant find the actual dimensions for the floor space in either hatch or sedan. I wonder if there is a difference in actual square footage of floor space, considering all the exterior and passenger cabin dimensions are identical (other than rear headroom) for both sedan and hatch... This would lead me to believe the floor space in both must be the same (or awfully close) with the rear seats in use (upright position).

Yes, but that is mostly height, not floor. back to the topic of golf bags, there is more floor space in a GLS trunk vs the SE to put golf bags, groceries, etc. There are advantages or different qualities in both versions of this vehicle. The qualities that fit your needs better is exactly why you drive the model you have. SE, GLS sedan....both great cars. I just took measurements for the trunk on GLS. Overall 40"Wx40"Dx18"H. Also, behind rear wheel arches at very rear of trunk is 54"Wx14"Dx21"H.
