How would I go about to see if the factory would give me a written letter honoring that the warranty will still be in place if I lower my Accent? If that's even possible.

I don't think you're going to get any official letter. The manufacturer of the spring would have better luck (and more financial motivation to work the process).
Modifying the suspension raises a multitude of issues. A company like Hyundai could bless that without writing a 20-page document excluding all the possible ways someone might interpret their blessing (there's always someone who ruins it for everyone else.). All the caveats, professional installation requirements, defining "professional," etc. A team of lawyers would be involved. What's their motivation for doing this when they could care less if you live with the factory suspension? (And, perfectly happy if you choose to give them an "out" on any future warranty claims?). The Magnasson act may limit how far Hyundai can invalidate your warranty. Probably just suspension and body claims. But, it can still take a lot of time to assert your rights under that act. |

^^this. lowering springs can cause stock shocks and struts to wear prematurely. other than that, that should be it, if installed correctly.

I've read that it also pushes down on the bar that connects the 2 wheels together, when you lower the body the point where it connects to the car pivots down putting more stress on it. Which would be the costly of the repairs if that would not be covered. Would it?

So you want to put lowering springs on a car, but you do not know what the "bar that connects to 2 wheels together" is called?
I would stop right there as to seeing that you do not understand the reasoning or reactions that take place throughout a suspension system when it reacts to driver and/or road input. And no, that would not be the most costly. A single shock costs more than the "bar that connects to 2 wheels together" to start with and a front strut replacement carries much more time for its labor op. Also, that "bar that connects the 2 wheels together", rotates in the bushings it is attached to the vehicle by. So it puts no more/no less stress on itself or anything else at a stand still and level surface. And less stress while driving or taking turns than when the vehicle was at stock height because there is less mass being transfered due to the lowered center of gravity equation. Is the geometry of the suspension different due to the lowering springs? Yes. An amount that would be negative to the sway bar? No. Sway bar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
