HSD is Korean based not from UKHSD Is a UK based company that are sold all over the world. Price will surely vary.
And the suspension doesn't cause the traction control to come on to quickly, the traction control system causes it lol. That's how it was designed from the factory. Our car isn't a performance car so if someone is making an Accent spin wheels it is more than 90% likely due to adverse weather conditions and not driving it as a performance car. Turn it semi-off with the button on the dash and see if it helps. It helps for me when I do it.
So, technically, the rears are not "Coilovers".Next is a comparison between the stock rear shock and the aftermarket one, then the springs.
Lol, read the review I gave sir, I'm pretty sure I addressed that. But I will give it another go here in case I didn't do it adequately. The ride is a lot firmer, but it depends on the settings that you use on the dampers, as they are variable and ultimately control how stiff your ride is. I think at the stiffest its probably going to be about the equivalent of a skateboard where you feel absolutely every nook and cranny in the road. I have not adjusted them anywhere near that and have just gotten them really broken in at this point. Other than that it is hard to quantify how much stiffer the ride is than it used to be, as it is completely subjective. I'd go so far as to say it is as stiff as my roommate's second gen Miata with coilovers. Cornering is much better, and like I said in the review, there is virtually no body roll, leaving your cornering ability to be dictated by the ability of your tires to hold their grip. You will have to then give us some feedback about how the ride is now, little firmer, alot firmer. Also how is the cornering now?.... Like a go kart??
If you want to go along those lines then it isn't possible for the rears to be considered coilovers, as it is not possible without major modification to run a coilover setup in the rear. The E36 and many others are the same way with a separate spring and shock in the rear. Also, thank you. If you do end up getting them as well I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.So, technically, the rears are not "Coilovers".
Looks great. Will be saving my pennies..
If I remember correctly from reading your other posts you are looking more for looks than performance anyway. For the money this is likely the absolute best you're going to get performance wise. The setup of the suspension itself appears to be the reason for the lack of drop available in this kit. If you were to thread the front bottom mounts higher you run the risk of hitting the adjustment valve on the bottom of them on the CV axle, which would then destroy your coilovers and void their warranty. There may be better things out there for just a drop, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I'm a function before form kinda guy.I guess this one is off my list now. I can't justify spending $1300 for a 1" drop. But I am glad you like it
Thank you sir. And yeah, I now know why they rave about them. I grew up with the philosophy of getting what you pay for, and these definitely fit that bill. While they appear kinda pricey at first, the quality of them and the improvements that they make completely justify it in my eyes. As for the ride height, it is adjustable by the perch for the spring for the rear. If you try to shorten it further than the adjustments available via the perch by putting the shock much shorter I get the feeling that you will end up damaging your shocks in the rear in the end, and unbalance things by placing too much pretension in the rear springs. The length of the shock is meant to place some pretension in the spring, but it also controls the amount of suspension sag allowed. I've got something like 2-2.5 inches of suspension sag, while they suggest a maximum of somewhere between 4 and 5 inches if I recall correctly. Personally I'm not looking to get the back any lower at the moment. If you can't get the front lower as well it would look ridiculously unbalanced IMO and likely handle that way as well.Pics look good
The Price is not bad at all considering your paying for a quality product that is Top choice in the Hyundai Genesis Community and you pay for what you get..
As AccentBlack had mentioned the handling is like Night and Day and i have these on my Tiburon with positive reviews NO QUESTION
Your Question about ride height did you adjust the rear by the Pearch?
If you want the little more im sure you can Fine tune by adjusting the rear Shock to lower it slightly
