How fast have you driven? - Page 3

Back in my young and stupid days... Fastest I have ever driven is 230 kph in a '97 Honda Civic. As a passenger, I have seen 250 kph in a Honda CRX and 265 kph in a Subaru SVX.

I've done 180km/h (112mph) in my 06 2.4 Sonata. Though it was not at its end it was rock steady and relatively quiet. Unfortunately "they" frown on these antics and under the new laws I could lose the car instantly (if caught). Nothing beats a radio. Sigh.
Both my Mustang (HiPo289) and BMW (2000 TI Alpina) did 225km/h but that was at a different time before the double-nickel era.

2013 Accent SE, K&N filter in stock air box, 125mph with some rpm's left. I'm sure it'll go 130+.

Years back I did 140 MPH in my '90 Trans Am traveling through Montana before they had speed limits.. I just did one quick sprint to see if I could do it.. The rest of the time I had the cruise set to 90.

The Accent has only been up to 80 MPH and that was on a 75 MPH highway in North Dakota.. It felt pretty stable and I was surprised that the little 4 banger engine didn't have to strain to get to that speed.

Back when I was 25 and going through a divorce I had a 2005 Acura RSX-S. I was driving at like 1am DRUNK out of my mind. Called up the wife and said hey just wanna let ya know I'm gonna die tonight. Wellll I starting going through the gears and finally hit it's top speed 146 mph. And I was flying down the highway in the middle lane. Well a semi was on the left and right lanes and as I came up quick the left one put it's blinker on and starting moving into the middle lane....Well I blew through them and almost did die that night....I quickly slowed down and laughed and then sobered up.

As stupid and suicidal as it was it was one of the coolest fu&%ing things I ever did in my life lol

Well i guess we got off the how fast did you drive your accent, so i will put in my 2 cents. I did 150 mph on a yamaha FZ 700 on the road to Vegas. Also di 94 mph in a Ferrari 550 that my best friend let me drive. Oh yea it was 94 mph on the on ramp to the Freeway.

OOHHH Accent!!! Well hit 90 in the accent but 99.99% of the time I drive 65. lol

Going down the I 15 I hit about 90 on neutral until I notice I was passing everybody then slowed down... at the bottom of the hill lol. But on a truck I top out at 100 because of the regulator* that came with the truck.
Now to think of it I don't know what its called.
