Default Carbon Fiber Hood

I searched the forums to find a thread on the topic but didn't see one, so I thought I'd ask. Do they make a carbon fiber hood for our 12's?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen any. But I would never put a carbon fiber hood or trunk on this car.

I think he might be saying "Should have bought something faster in the first place."

If speed is not your concern, a vinyl wrap might be your best bet.

I can't justify paying $600+ for something lighter that won't make a big difference, especially on a 138hp (110whp) 1.6 engine. I'll do stuff like intake and exhaust because I like the noise. Or coilovers because of handling. If I drove a BMW, Benz, etc or even a Genesis coupe...I may buy one if I run out of mods.

Couldn't agree more plus you'll save a lot more money.

Carbon hoods are light...but they can pose a safety issue. They don't have crumple zones. They need to be pinned on the front and even then it's not 100%.

Ever see a pic of a carbon hood in an accident and the hood is in the cabin....good way to decapitate yourself......

It would be one of the last things I'd do after forced induction and suspension/wheels/tires.
