But, in that thread it was stated the odo accrues mileage accurately (notwithstanding environmental factors such as tire pressure, uneven road surface, etc.), while the speedo displays something realtime that's 5% less.

If that's true, I think the mpg display would be derived from the accrual of odo data, not the realtime speedo display.

I think someone needs to do a mile-marker count (described in that thread) to confirm the odo is accurate. If the odo is inaccurate by 5% too, then I think that would explain the mpg inaccuracy.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that I don't think it's been concluded yet.

Bought the car on 7/19/2011 and I have 16,600 miles and I'm getting $137 ish bucks. Not bad for someone that didn't complain in the first place. Extra gas money!

I get 25-26 mpg overall now, must be the winter gas or the weight I gained.

Winter gas has definitely taken its toll on my mileage. I've gone from averaging 33 to 28.

Me too - my last two tanks have been the lowest I've recorded, just over 31 mpg calculated. All suburban in-town driving though. They must be right about the Winter mix fuel.

Just got the confirmation email - should get my $97 Mastercard in a week or two! Woo-hoo! I'll take it, even though I'm still getting over the "old" average combined. Still the best little car I've owned!

I just got an email saying my Hyundai MPG MasterCard Reward Card should arrive within 7 to 10 days.

I knew the 120 days that was mentioned wasn't right.

Our last tank was about 27 mpg, lowest to date.

My parents house is about 90 miles away from where I love, and driving there this summer I was getting 45 MPG round trip indicated. Tonight I clocked an indicated 41.5.
