I just purchased a new 2012 Accent. The sales people did not explain about the aux/USB port. What can I do with this? Can I plug in an mp3 player. Do I need special cables? I would appreciate some high level help. Thanks,

Yes, if you have a generic MP3 player, simply plug it in the Aux. jack and use the "CAT/FOL" buttons on the right side of the radio display to scroll through your albums, or the "SEEK/TRK" buttons on the left to scroll through individual tracks.

If you have musuc stored on a flash drive/USB stick, plug it in the USB port and use the audio buttons to search through your music.

For ipods/iPhones, simply use the iPod adapter cable, available through and Hyundai parts counter. The jack's adapter plugs into both ports and allows you to use the radio's buttons to scroll and search through your music, as well as charging your device.

Hope this helps!

You can

- Plug a USB thumb drive into loaded with MP3's and play your songs through the radio.
- You can plug many phones into it for charging. Also if that phone as storage you can play songs stored on the phone through the radio.
- You can use iphone/ipod adapter and use it to play songs.

I use it for charging my phone and I stream music through the bluethooth rather than the USB interface. There is advantages and disadvantages to either method.

How do you stream music through BT?? I've been trying and I can only get calls... I'm curious as I thought the Accent's BR didn't support A2DP...

Press Aux to toggle between the aux cable and Bluetooth streaming.

SWEET!!!! Thanks so much. I love using my iPhone's music interface to select music much better than the Accent's, so this is a very welcome find!

I was told that there is no streaming bluetooth audio on the accent...so lets get to the bottom of this. Owners of the accent, does your radio do streaming audio via bluetooth???
