Finally bought a new Elantra ...
After a few weeks of visiting the forum and talking about my soon to be purchase, we finally went and bought it on Saturday. I think we got a pretty good deal on it.
MSRP was $20,000 and we paid $16,580 after incentives ($500 Hyundai financing cash back/$500 Competitive coupon) and before taxes/registration. We got a new 2013 GLS with Preferred Package. Also included was carpeted floor mats, cargo tray, first aid kit, auto-dimming rear view mirror, and mud guards. We originally wanted Black with gray interior, but the dealer didn't have one and wasn't able to make a dealer trade for one either. But after thinking about it, my wife and I decided on the Titanium Gray. I knew it was going to be impossible for us to keep a black car clean. We have a black Nissan Pathfinder right now and aren't the best at regularly washing it. But the titanium gray has really grown on us. If anyone is looking to buy in Southern California, I highly recommend contacting the internet department at Harbor Hyundai of Long Beach. Ruben and Doug were awesome and easy to work with. Attached are pics from the dealership from my cell phone. My first mod is to get the windows tinted. Next might be upgrading the audio system with components, an amp, and maybe a sub. Very happy so far in the little amount I have driven it. Thanks to all of you for your helpful information in various posts. |

Nice color choice.
 I considered black for about 10 seconds but I'm WAAAY too anal for that. The one on the lot already had some light swirling and I didn't want to spend my first day of ownership in the garage with the buffer getting them out. Black looks amazing when clean and for the five seconds that immediately follow but I love the Titanium Gray and the heavy flake.
