I talked with CARID customer service, and the CG Projector headlight assemblies use the same bulbs as OEM. They are plug and play with Halogen, but if you want HID, you would need to install an HID conversion kit (which is easy enough).

So it sounds like as far as wiring is concerned installing HIDs on these would be virtually the same as on the stock reflective housings

Yeah, I think so. I can't speak from personal experience, but how different can it be if it is designed to be plug and play.

Good point - I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on these, especially with the more affordable ebay versions because if something goes wrong I won't be out TOO much money...
