Looking to buy another Elantra.

First post, been lurking for a few months. So just bought a 2013 Elantra Limited with Tech Package for $22,200 back in November and now my wife is starting a new job and wants to get her own Elantra. We're looking at a base model automatic 2011 for around $12,800. The Elantra has 40,00 miles on it and was a rental car. This is a Hyundai Certified Preowned car. What do you think? Good price?

Good price but it was a rental. How is the overall condition, especially the interior?

Its still under warranty so why not give it a shot at that price. Is this with the preferred equipment package? Bluetooth, alloy wheels etc... If so its an especially good price.

No, I wish. The only real thing that will ready be missed, and I mean really missed is bluetooth.

cwoods, seems like a lot of miles for a 2011, but I realize that it was a rental, so mileage just goes with the territory. The price is definitely right, though, and if she just wants it as a commuter, then I say go for it. I let go of my 2011 after a year and a half with just under 15k.

Seems to me like it's a pretty good deal. Too bad it doesn't have the preferred package but for basic needs it's definitely worth it.

To each their own, I would never purchase a rental vehicle. No matter if it's a Hyundai certified vehicle.

If what I've heard is true, these rental companies perform routine maintenance and keep their inventory nice, kept up, and clean! Although it has 40k on the clock, it's probably light years ahead in quality and condition of a comparable model that's privately owned by the average Joe. Disclaimer: Members of this forum are NOT to be confused as "average Joe's." We are light year's ahead of them, as Elantra owners.
