Just something to consider....the Subaru BRZ version is a better value for the money and some say it handles better, too.

Someguy-nope but i did read ALOT about the car. all the good and even the bad. i even snooped around some FR-S forums to see what the public says and stuff. i do know a friend who just purchased a brz so maybe ill hop in and see how it is. but overall i feel like this car is very promising.

Okierich- yup i do know they use premium and im fine with that. i just gotta enjoy the 20$ of gas for one week with my elantra....shes a gas saver =]

Em-Squared- i honestly think they look nice compared to the other cars with there new models and such. the genesis coupe has a ugly front...starting to look like a veloster but just longer. at least the front. mustangs are american =P *i dislike american cars*. and yeah =].

lovemysantafe- honestly for me i do not need much in the car. as long as it has a stereo system its all good. no need for a navi when i have one already. i do like the fog likes on the brz but i prefer the FRS front than the BRZ mustache.

I just wish someone will give me a sign when the frs will come in my driveway...*sigh* =[

Definitely disclose the repainted bumper, with detailed description of what happened and how it was repaired. People appreciate honesty, and so does Karma.

Definitely replace the missing badges. Nothing says "accidented and/or generally abused spoiled brat car" more than missing emblems.

Normally I'd say that trading a two-year-old car is the dumbest thing anyone can do. But with used-car hysteria running at all-time highs, and the Elantra at the top of its game, now is a better time than ever. Depending on your specific city, I'll bet you can recover 65-80% of your purchase cost vs. the usual 50% after two years of ownership.

Let us know how you make out,
Don

Aftermarket parts for the FR-S is also unbelievable, especially considering it is so new.

Noke148, in response to your last post, I liked the old Genesis grille. (Heck, we had one, so what can I say?) The new one, IDK...I'd probably take one, but it's a bit polarizing.

You said a mouthful, there! I'm not sure anyone saw this used-car sales/trade phenomena coming!

Emsquared- they made the genesis into a muscle car no doubt...all power...nothing else. which is kinda sad since its a korean car. sure it kicks a lotttt of power and such but i think thats what they were going for. no handling or anything...just a muscle car sadly =/. and yeah. the old genesis grille is way better. the new one...like i said...veloster front on a genesis nuff said.

You're so close to owning it! I know you already have the new car itch so honestly, nothing we say here will deter you from that, but I would say lower your expectations for the resale value, and also don't take the first offer from them. Don't be afraid to walk.

I've traded in a car a couple times and the first time in 2007, I definitely let them rape me on the value. The second time in 2012, I walked and they called back and agreed to raise the value a grand, which resulted in a much better financing situation.
