I just had mine done about a week and a half ago, perfectly straight now just as the old one was. Sounds like your Tech. goofed up the swap, that is not "normal". I think it's a matter of finding center with the steering of your car(drive in a straight line) and then, repositioning the wheel to match.

How's that different from a regular wheel alignment? (I'm guessing all four wheels compared to the front two you're mentioning)Elantra get 2 wheel align, no provisions for adjust at rear to qualify it for 4 wheel align, even though we attaching heads to rear wheels to find centerline of car and adjust front to make all straight and square
Get the steering wheel reset on steering column shaft, then adjust accordingly.. they should have run some "T" time for new replacement steering wheel off center due to production tolerances, and flagged time to straighten steering wheel via 2 wheel align adjustment and get paid for it

Yeah, not good at all. I, too, had my steering wheel replaced. I don't even need to say it by now, but it was straight as could be. I can't believe they tried to insult your intelligence like that. I agree with Andrew: "MORONS!"

Thanks for the feedback. It is as I suspected. Will let you all know how this pans out. It's funny when I was complaining about it I made them aware that I have gone out of my way to bring the car into service (paid services) there because that is where I bought it at. The guy says "have you taken it anywhere else, because the warranty is nation wide". I was really taken aback by this comment because it seemed he was trying to run me off to some other dealer.....

One of the difficulties I'm encountering as I get up in the years is my shortage of tolerance for stupidity. The more ignorant someone acts, the madder I get. One of these days I'm afraid I'm gonna have a Southeast Asia flashback if some dealer's rep tries to pull some of this wool over my eyes. There's no sense to treat people this way or to talk down to them. Aretha said it best: R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
