Well guys I purchased my car almost two years ago.
I drive a lot for work, and my car now has 74000 kilometers on it. So far its gone thru 3 CV Axle Joints on the drivers side, a radio unit, clutch bearing, fork, and fulcrum, and now there's something wore out in the rear suspension (squeaking and snapping). Has anyone else had any issues with their cars? The transmission in mine has also started to grind when shifting like the syncros are wearing out. Motor knocks when it's cold, sounds like the top end goes dry of oil when sitting overnight and takes awhile to get any. You're probably thinking I beat the snot out of it - well that's not the case. I am easy on the car, drive it for fuel mileage which is why I bought it in the first place. I'm going to be calling the service department again (ugh..) very soon and telling them about the transmission and suspension issues I am experiencing. Overall I am not a happy purchaser. |

Me too my Sonata's been a pos.
I drive 98% highway,air bag computer,rust,e brakes kept seizing up (i use them every day),dash gauges replaced,valve cover gasket, fuel pump gasket,lots of squeaks and rattles, the engines got a weird rattle on deceleration (sounds like valves or timing chain) they seem think it's normal and say its the gdi, its not. I also have a vibration that comes and goes even with cruise set but guess theres enough speed variances for that to occur but I've had wheels,tires etc checked rebalanced etc. Most insulting thing I was offered -11,000 $ trade bye dealer with 74,000 kms on my car. I have been driving Hyundai's since my 1985 Pony but this is my last I think. |

Currently my 2012 just hit 54000 km already as I used to drive a lot before , and I've been only to the dealer for regular maintenance and a exhaust rattle tsb , besides that still running very solid , it doesn't even have rattles , maybe you got a lemon .

Yes I had the exhaust rattle fixed I also forgot to mention the 3 day fit it took on Canada Day weekend. Car would not go over 1500rpms, engine light was on, and it was running really rough. The morning I woke up to send it to the dealer on a flat bed - it was back to normal, I drove it in, but they couldn't find anything wrong..

^^Same here, have had my car for 1 an halls years now with 43,000km mix of city and highway and have not had anything wrong mechanically.
Cosmetically someone door hit my front passenger wheel well so little mark there. There are some bumps on roof(likely hail) front bumper and and hood have good amount of dings and scraps but lots of heavy equipment here so not surprising but end of day it's cosmetic, its expected and doesn't affect me or my rides ability to drive except for one screw ran over. |
