Default immobilizer light on dashboard

Hello,

I've looked all over the internet and called my dealership with no results. I was rushing this morning when I locked up my car I must have pushed a sequence of buttons on my key and now I can't turn the car all the way off. It's a keyless entry fob. when I push teh button to turn the card off, it doesn't go all the way off. the gps/radio window light stays on. when I leave the car it beeps and I can see the "key removed" button flashing. I have no idea how to resent the key so that I can actually turn the darn thing off.

anyone else?

Joan

If all else fails, disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Exact same thing happened to me when the car wasn't all the way into Park. In my case there was a cable that I didn't notice lodged in the way, so at a quick glance it looked like it was in Park, but it was a hair out. So not saying that thats your issue, but I think the car for whatever reason doesn't know its in Park.

the car isnt in gear.... is it?

otherwise, as Okie said, warranty, dont call them, drive the car directly to the dealer/service area, give them the keys, and say "she's your problem now"
