I'll be ordering winter floor mats soon. I'm holding off on winter tires until the first snow fall. want to see how the stock continentals hold up before I drop $600.

No added nor special winter mods planned. Since our region doesn't get inundated with "artic/Canadian-style winters, any snow we get is mild and fast fleeting (thank heavens). Really have no need for those nice (and expensive) water-controlling floor mats.

My biggest winter investment is a couple of cans of windshield de-icer and a ice/snow scraper. Those few items and I still complain. I'm certain I could not favorably exist in those winters like my northern friends. I tip my hat to you gals and guys up there. And the old people too, like my geriatric buddy, Don!

BTW, those blue rims really could stop the earth's orbital trajectory with that sick alien look. Cool!

Because of the hills and the nature of the area, I have a set of studless Blizzak snow tires on dedicated black steel wheels with generic covers. It's not going to win any beauty contests but man do they work! The weather is cooling down quickly now so I think I'll throw them on before Thanksgiving.

Gonna paint the calipers while the wheels are off?

15+" of snow here the last few days and glad I have Firestone Winterforce tires on. Bought some chrome American Racing wheels in 2011 and use the factory 6 spokes for winter rims. Very happy I made that move.
