Been planning to trade-in my E for Veloster Turbo, went to the dealer signed for Veloster Turbo (2-3 months wait). Looked at the Sonata Turbo, went home.
Went back couple days later to the dealer, changed my mind and getting sonata turbo limited w/ nav.
Probably getting sparking ruby, or shimmering white.

Anyway,
Thanks to everyone here for the help on this forum.

I have a question tho, why is Elantra's insurance wayyy more than Sonata turbo? well 30-40$ different a month.
I dont get it.

The tail lights are better defined against the white. That was the reason I ultimately didn't choose the red. But I did agonize over the decision.

canadian insurance was so messed up
when i had chrysler 300c 340hp AWD, it was $2000/yr for comprehensive.
when i upgraded to 425hp SRT8 RWD(apparently more dangerous), it went down to 1700......

i asked them why, and all they said was, well it's higher trim so the less of these get into accidents (bull :p)

and get black and join the exterior OCD club.

Haha, I don't understand their logic. In reality, it's probably because fewer people get in accidents in the higher trim because, on average, fewer people buy the higher trim levels. What a bunch of dumbells!

While at the Nissan dealer today, I saw a Leaf in black all shined up and I was having major envy. But then I told myself that a) Nearly every black Leaf that I saw when car shopping had swirl marks; b) They had just detailed this one, so said swirls were probably just hiding; c) Over time, I would obsess over it just as I did with my Elantra.

Then I felt better.

Best of Luck Jep and post pic's of your new Sonata.

Claims history. Elantras tend to be driven by younger drivers, who have more accident claims than older drivers. And by virtue of the vehicle's smaller size and lighter weight, injury claims are likely to be slightly higher on average.

No offense to our younger members, but one can probably anticipate the insurance cost for a given car simply by counting the number of Plasti-Dip threads it generates in the online forums. :3gears:

400/year wth? u hack?
mine was like 4200/year lol. G2.

I want white because of my GF and white + moonroof looks nice.
But the dealer dont have white on the lot and if i take whatever they ahve on the lot they give me free factory tinted windows 35%-20%. they only have sparkling ruby and granite blue.
i got: floor mats, mud guards, tinted windows, 50% detailing for life. I forgot to ask for 50% navigation update, lol.
And now they have $3425 price adjustment, yay !

Yeah, i will post some pic when i got the car. Will keep this 1 stock, because gf doesnt really want me to trade the car. And we are planning to buy a house soon.

Anyway, i have ordered the M&S upper and lower grill. I asked koreanautoimports to cancel my order, but if they still sending them to me i will sell them to any of u cheaper than website. =D or maybe Cav. wants it?

If you wanted white, your dealership would have found it at another dealership. Giving you free tint helps push inventory vehicles that they can't move.

Trouble with white in the snow belt is
1) Difficult to see in the snow:(.
2) Rust shows up much better.:(
Also the reason I will never buy a green car again is because it
can get lost in lawns, trees, bushes etc, and people tend to cut you off.
Black(shudder) Only had one, never again, as someone mentioned, everylittle mark showed on it, looked great freshly polished tho.^_^

Yeah, I'm with ya. Well, we don't have much snow here, so I ended up switching to white (pearl, anyway) and although I think the black Leafs look so good, even the ones at the dealerships already had swirls. After black and blue cars, I'm sick of swirls.

This is only a recommendation (based on your stated height, above) but you might want to stop by Babies-R-Us and pick you up one of those child booster seats!

I had a down payment on a Tubo sonata and backed out ad bought the elantra
Insurance was cheaper on the sonata for 1 reason. There have been very few claims with the tubo in Canada. The tubo is never a rental car but the elantra is and they sell way more so there are way more claims, thus they are considered higher risk. Weird I know, but that was the explanation given to me.
By the way cograts on the new whip. Looks awesome in white.

I recently added my wife's car to my insurance and mine dropped $168 and hers too, we pay around $82/month for both cars. I live in a city with only 46 000 souls so maybe that's the main reason why it's cheap, If I were living in Montreal it would probably be double price.
