^^^ You might be onto something! You could always attach a wire circuit to the back of each mirror...tie it into your alarm circuit. Or buy a proximity alarm. When the thief approaches to remove one, ALARM!
I still like the camera idea! I have a few tricks left up my sleeve if it was me that caught these bums.

This might be an outrageous suggestion. If you park where this crime happens, take the mirrors with you.
You could find someone to customize a sheild like we put on our cell phones. And then use cement compound to attach the mirror to the bracket. Dash cam would only make a theif want to steal everything in your car. Alarm is a good idea, but do people really do anything when we hear them go off. In Hamilton Ive heard of everything from plates, mirrors and emblems being stolen. |

I totally agree but like crown royal didn't want to be the first, wtf is this world coming to mirror glass why only take that if your vandalizing you figure they'd go all out & just tear the whole assembly off guess its just uneducated punks! Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else, may have to put extra insurance on my rear view mirrors now!lol

In south africa LOTS of cars with fire-alarm system, meaning if you are trying to steal something or open a door/hood etc...while car in alarm mode it will flamethrow...
