I'd definitely hold out for the $5 Starbucks gift card you'll likely receive after the lawyers get paid.

SEE! I knew there was a reason to hold out.

Mine was $110 for 28K miles which still seems a bit low for the average fuel prices here. At this rate I could expect about $400 for 100k miles. Better than nothing I suppose. I activated the card and turned it over to the boss.

We got a $56 Visa card for around 14k. I've gotten decent mpg on road trips but around town sucks . Especially in the winter with the heater blowing.

If you bought your car with the updated EPA estimates, then likely not. Also, you would get less than a dollar.

Any affected vehicle(s) named by Hyundai that were purchased AFTER the announcement date, are ineligible for any rebate.

You can back out the assumed fuel price with this formula:

fuel price ($/gal) = 0.87 x reimb ($) / (miles driven x (1/m1-1/m2) )

Where m1 and m2 are the new and old EPA combined mileage figures.

Assuming 32 and 33 mpg for your case results in:

fuel price = 0.87 x $110 / ( 28000 x (1/32 - 1/33)) = $3.61/gal

- Mark
