UGH. I think it's all in her head. My mom's the same way. I give her some dramamine and she's good to go. Truth be told, her driving is actually worse than mine!

Actually if you get the Mazda 3 Skyactiv with Nav, sunroof, cruise, leather, heated seats, etc vs the GT with both packages you are in the same $$ ballpark. Granted, the GT then has that great sunroof, and a backup camera but the 3 gets better mpg, faster and handles better.

I just went back to work driving slowly, changing gears at 2000 rpm and I did between 11.7-12.5L/100Km according to the computer.

agreed. the handling issue is easily solved by making the rear suspension independent. They really need to make that improvement soon. otherwise, they will fall back on sales...

Extra maddening for the GT because both the GT and Asian i30 are manufactured in South Korea although most likely under different production lines. But you gotta wonder why the North American version is stripped of LED lights and has a torsion beam instead of an independent rear suspension like the Korean and European i30's.

You also have to remember according to the EPA the gas mileage was correct. Hyundai Added testing into the end of it to get a much more accurate rating. So technically there was no false. Every one keeps going after Hyundai when because of Hyundai adding steps your getting free money? And you want to complain?

How can something that further testing showed was incorrect be correct?

HUH????
When did the EPA ever say the original estimates were correct. Based upon what many here are saying the original MPG were way incorrect and now the revised are just less incorrect (based upon real world driving). How the $$ can be interpreted as "free" money when we were led to believe we would not be spending it in the first place if the numbers provided originally by Hyundai were correct is beyond my understanding!

Because. Don't loose you energy people on something that won't change and just enjoy driving the car. That's what I'm doing. It doesn't change the fact that it's a good car.

I had no idea they had independent suspension.

the tucson has the torsion bar too, not a comfortable CUV, but the sante fe is a sweeet ride
