So I got an e-mail back from them today saying to put in the VIN for reimbursement estimator and it came to be about 51 dollars. After that, it says they couldn't verify the ownership of the vehicle so they made me fill out the form. On the form, there is an option saying...

I purchased the vehicle new and currently own it. I have recently obtained a mileage reading at a Hyundai Dealership.

Does this mean I will need to get mileage verified first before sending in this form to them? The directions in the e-mail is a bit confusing.

I want Huyndai to increase the proposed mpg reimbursement numbers significantly, as the revised numbers come no where near reflecting reality. If Hyundai does not, I will join any class action that presents itself.

Any lawyers pursuing such should post their contact info on this forum.

Actually, as I've said here before, I'm probably not really saving much money because the Leaf is a more expensive vehicle and I did take a loss by trading in my Elantra and letting the dealership work me over, lol. I guess all I really get is the feeling of not using gas.

I think part of me also wanted to get rid of my specific Elantra because I was disturbed by all the damage it underwent in my short time of having it. OCD couldn't handle it.

No they should not. I will happily ban any lawyer scavenging the forum for customers.

Thanks, and I agree also. I see enough lawyer ads on TV; they don't need to be here on a car forum, too. You can choose the lawyer of your dreams on your own time and dime.

Mini update: My salesman from Nissan called me back yesterday, but I was at work so missed the calls. So I will call him back today and see if I can get the mileage. I need it in writing, as that is what Hyundai requires with the form if you already sold or disposed of the car.

The USA revised mpg are pretty much on par with what the car should get

If you think the USA is bad, you don't wanna see the Canadian mpg as its way worse

We have it as the following 7.2/5.2/6.2 (l/100km) or in us mpg 33/45/37
Least the states is 28/38/32 which almost exactly what i get

After a quick visit to my dealer they told me the claim must come from the dealer. They have to valid the KM on the car.

My dealer took care of it, I don't need to mail anything.
