These adapters are on eBay already for cheap $6 if you don't mind waiting 2 weeks for mail from China. If you have the iphone5 an extra adapter certainly won't go to waste even if it doesn't work in your car. I suspect a future software update should cover any features that are not working properly.

I received the adapter yesterday. Complete iPod control without any problems at all.

I personally don't like streaming audio via bluetooth, doesn't give me control via the steering wheel controls and I refuse to use my phone to change since while driving so I use the connector.

So your music appears on the navigation screen and your iPod charges as well with the adapter?

Completely agree with you and that's one of the many reasons I don't like to use blue tooth, although it is a cool feature. Bluetooth uses more battery life and the cord charges your device too, which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Yes I am curious to this as well. Sorry if my previous post was unclear, but I read online with the adapter for iphone5 you wouldn't enjoy seeing the information for your music/songs on your car's screen.

I always use bluetooth to stream my music from my iPhone and I have complete control from the staring wheel and it doesn't use the battery all that much really. It might go down from 1 to 2% which to me is not a lot at all.

+1 to the adapter working perfectly, I was very worried.

Anybody have a good mount suggestion for the iPhone 5? I find myself preferring the ios6 nav over the elantra nav.

I also got the adapter this week and it works great in my 2012 Elantra. I had my music on a USB flash drive, the quality is so much better from the phone with the cable.

Sorry to reply back to this thread so late and thank you to everyone for their input!

I was wondering if anyone out there can 100% confirm what actually happens if you use the Hyundai iPhone cord (for any iPhone/iPod before version 5) with the Apple adapater that allows it to work with the iPhone 5. I'm curious how this functions on cars with the tech package that have the navigation screen.

I'm mainly interested in two things. First, does music show up on the nav screen and can it be controlled with the steering wheel controls? And second, does it charge your iPhone/iPod 5?

If anyone could answer these questions that'd be great, thank you!
