Thing is our keys here have the immobilizer chip in it , and it's not cheap to replace one of them in case i ruin it , now I have the flip key , spare OEM key + OEM key with no immobilizer without cannibilizing or ruining anything . Now you have a nice key fob flip key , get it right and get it cut instead of cutting the factory one and try to attached , it's gonna look tacky and eventually it may break , my 2 cents.

I'm in the US, so my understanding is that our cars don't have the chip. In looking at the flip key, I'm doubting that the factory key has the slot for the retainer pin. It will probably be easier for me to have the blank cut instead of filing a slot for the pin. Thanks for the input.

Hey finally put mine together. Everything works great. No chip so I was able to just put it together switch out the battery and keypad and boom done! (Hardest thing was putting the pin in) Other then the very very easy.
