Default Front Windshield Sun Shade

I've noticed that the windshield on the Elantras are pretty big and I was wondering where you guys buy your sun shades from that fit the car. I bought the largest size at autozone but it's still too short for the window, so I just lay it across the dashboard. Thanks for any help!

You're correct. Auto stores, Wally*World, Target, you-name-it, the longest they stock is about 1/2 foot short. Two choices:

1. Learn to live with it and finagle the thing so that it makes a conscientious effort to work, or

2. Search and order one online (Amazon comes to mind), specifically to fit our Elantras. Prepare to pay a premium. Around $30-38. If you find one cheaper, let us know!!!

I paid $15.00 CDA at Canadian Tire, and it's about 6" too short. (But can be finagled into staying put).

Or buy two of the cheap ones, a tube of crazy glue and break out a pair of scissors... should be easy to cobble together something that'll fit.

Buy a heatshield, it fits perfectly. I use mine year round. In addition to blocking sun its also good for hiding the stuff in your car when out in public.

I picked up a Heat Shield shade and it is a perfect fit and does the job but it is a bit of wrestling match IMO. I'm looking for a super jumbo magic shade but most of retailers around here are sold out since temps have been 100*+ (had a jumbo and it was a little too short so the super jumbo should fit). If you don't mind wrestling, the Heat Shield shades are perfect fits and well constructed...

How about buying some extra Molson beer in cardboard packs and duct tape them together. Serves two purposes! You shouldn't have to ask what they are!!!

If you're a Costco member, you might still be able to find this for $7.
