Sorry to hijack a bit here, but this Elantra is the first car I've ever owned that displayed the outside temp (yes, sad but true). Anywho, yesterday I ran the AC for the first time, and the temp. gauge showed abnormally high temps. Is this normal? Usually my temp. gauge is spot-on.
Thanks |

At 106F I only had the A/C on recirculate, level one for the blower and it was plenty cold. (But I did close the passenger's side vent to maximize the air however as I was the only one in the car). At least the West Coast has dry heat which is more bearable in my opinion than humid heat.

Started out cloudy this morning, but then cleared up. High was about 82. Anyone envious?

Hottest I've seen on my display this summer is 38 Celsius (100F). Keep in mind that our winters dip as low as -30 (-22F). It's amazing the cars don't fall apart under such extremes.
