Default Lamin-x tailights

Put the lamin-x tint on the tailights. I bought the second lightest tint which is called gunsmoke which is 12%.
All i am going to say is that with the size, angles, ridges of our tailights, this is a 3 man job. I made a bunch of blunders but luckily you don't have to get it right the very first time. I could not do the job by myself and using the hairdryer is a must! I am not 100% satisfied with it yet. The bubbles on the one light that I put on 4 days ago have gone away which is good but it is not perfect.
Just in case you missed it the first couple times I said it - On an MD Elantra, this is not an easy job

Looks good I have used the gunsmoke laminx before, its nice because its not too dark. Hairdryer works good but a proper heatgun is better. Thankfully the material is forgiving.

looks pretty good. The laminx on my fog lights looks much better now after a few months than when I first put it on.....I almost pulled them off right then and there.

I have headlight covers in the mail now. So the hair dryer/heat gun is used to soften the material so it will conform to the curves? Do you still keep the film wet while doing this?

I've heard this stuff needs a few days to "settle"
so if you see bubbles, wrinkles, you should wait it out a few days, the material may stretch into place.

I took it to a professional and he did it for $40 using a steam gun and heat gun. It took about 3 days to settle in the sunlight.. What might be a quicker way to cure them is to leave ur lights on during the day when u drive so the lamp heats up. I have no bubbles and I'm super happy with them

Yes, lots of heat and stretching. still kept the back wet.

I should have done that. I am just borderline happy so far. Even my cutting around the edge was very average.

Stretching? Hard to put on? Three person job? Cutting/trimming? Hair dryer? Heat gun? "Boarderline" happy?

That did it for me. You folks go ahead and have your little fun. I'm opting out, LOL.

The trimming was a pretty tough part cuz the material is so well made u need a really sharp exacto. Even mine isn't the best but very hard to notice unless u put ur face to body. U don't nessessarly need 3 ppl.. A steamer really helps cuz u can keep peeling and starting over and it helps stretch the material.

so heat gun, steamer, and cigarette are the required tools?

Thinking beer would also be required.
