That totally sucks about your car, but as everyone else has already said, your son comes first, which obviously you know.

I would say my car is about #4 or 5, behind God, family (husband included), dogs, jobs, etc.

Hilarious, but hope your wife is OK!

At any rate, glad someone understands!

Hilarious! I had no idea that Tina Turner's name was really Anna Mae Bullock. I just have always known her as Tina! Thanks for the lesson!

I've now lived long enough to have seen it all: a lady driving while painting her fingernails. I've witnessed the application of blush, rouge, lipstick, eyeliner, lash curling, hair teasing, and yes, hair spraying from a can. What I saw today was a lady holding nail polish with thumb/forefinger while her remaining three fingers were extended outward at the 12o'clock position on the wheel. The palm was doing the steering. Her left hand was dipping into the bottle and polishing the 3 aforementioned fingers.

Now, that's talent! Dangerous, to be sure, but skilled!

Oh geez. That's just stupid and dangerous, if you ask me. I would most certainly spill it if that were me. Only in Oklahoma, I guess.

Apparently the Elantra doesnt like the cold lol. 25F outside on my way home from work this morning. Watching the MPG go down to 28.2. I usually hover around 31-32.

No cars like the cold. My ex Focus got terrible MPG in winter, beleive me the Elantra does better even though it seems to do poorly.

Did I dodge a bullet? Any perceivable damage? I assume the clutch got burnt a bit?

****. My new Elantra's infant years ain't going so swell...

Don't worry, I tried two times to teach my wife how to drive manual and twice it smelled like rubber in my car. Oh no! my toy.

Strangely the Elantra windshield defroster is more effective than our Pathfinder with a much larger engine. Also the Pathfinder sideview mirrors are not heated. I did not understand the importance of that feature until I moved to KY.

Well, you know that in Oregon, while there are some women who care about their nails (the suburban types), there are a lot of more natural, outdoorsy types as well who do not wear a ton of makeup or paint their nails.

Oh my goodness, I still recall that the Elantra had the best heater of any car I've owned, and my husband totally agreed.
