Yay! Congrats on getting a job. Don't know about you, but fall is always the best time for me to find a job.

Don't know if you're excited or not. I know I wasn't excited to return to retail, but apparently since I have so much retail experience, those are the only types of places that will hire me.

Luckily, so far the fabric store has been way less of a drama scene than my old workplace. Different customers (generally older) and more laid-back management, too. Less pay sucks but you take what you can get.

I also had an interview with Best Buy yesterday (used to work for Circuit City before they went under) so we'll see about that.

So Friday I drove down to my parents' place for the weekend, and when I got back this morning I found the box with Raven's new WeatherTech floormats sitting on the porch next to my front door. Apparently FedUps dropped them off Saturday afternoon without anyone signing for them...and after raining all day Sunday, and last night's sub-freezing temperatures, I had to thaw the box out before I could extract the contents.

Guys, really, you couldn't have left them at the landlady's office?

Went to the Co-Op for lunch and I parked next to a '96 Maxima that looked exactly like this.
But, it had '06 18 inch Maxima rims on it and ... RED. BREMBO. BRAKES. I was going to take a picture but ... I was too busy laughing.

I've never really had trouble getting a job any time of the year. This is the longest I've been unemployed in a while and it's only been 2.5 months. Most of my work the past 7 years has been in sales/account manager, b2b services etc.. so it was easy to get sales interviews when I started applying for those jobs. Just like your experience with retail I'm really good at this type of job. I'm excited to get back to work and I like what I will be selling but it's not really what I wanted, ya know.

Anyhow I really wanted to be back on the support side again, and I'm still waiting to hear back about an interview I did last week for that. This job was nearly identical to my last job which I loved.

I'm glad you are happy with your job. I've had some friends work for Best Buy in the past and I hear it's alright as long as you have good manager. I even looked into working there in the past too.

Well two things happened today good and bad.

Good thing is I filled up my Elantra today at a Shell Gas station for $3.69/gal

Bad thing was It was my Elantra's worst tank at just 21mpg I hope it gets better we drive mostly City with hills and what not but 21 is just too low for a entry level sedan.
