Angry Loud "clunk" in rear when hitting bumps

Lately I have experienced a loud "clunk", "thump" whil going over road bumps. Just normal bumps and it seems like the rear-end is going to fall off. I feel something hitting under the car each time this happens. This is very disturbing as the car only has 4500 miles on it. Bringing to dealer this weekend.

Anyone experienced what feels like the car has no shock in the rear?

I knew there would be at least one to give a smart a.... answer. This is a major issue, something is broke underneath and should not be happening on a new car.

So anyone that have experienced this please respond.

If its a major issue take it into the dealer now. As suggested check your trunk for junk also check your tire pressure.

Having a bad day? Don't take it out on people who are trying to help.

We've seen many threads like this in the past - people worried about mystery noises coming from the back of their new car - and many of them do in fact turn out to be loose items (spare, jack, etc.) in the trunk. It's the most logical starting place.

Let us know how it turns out.

Don

Smart ass? I answered your question.. I had a large wrench in the back, it made quite the thump over any kind of bump. Nice attitude... If you have something seriously wrong or busted, you got warranty, call your dealer.

It's likely a loose tool, tool.

You can get on your back and look up there yourself, you might be able to figure it out(since it's in your driveway) rather than us, especially if your only description is that there is a noise when you hit a bump. Go investigate for yourself...your own abilities may prove to be adequate.
