Yes or no. I only use mine when it's raining or when there's fog since I read in the user's manual that it can overload the smart alternator.

Except for making sure they work I never use them. My plan is using them if there is ever fog or snow.

Same in here except that mine are not allways ON. Only blinking when turning, not used the 2nd wire.

Use foglight in Quebec w/o any 'FOG' situation is illegal here anyway. The car looks better with no fogs lighted up.

I used them all the time on my old car but my 2011 GLS has no fog lights. I like more light on the road whenever possible

I use mine all the time on all our cars. Not having fog lights is a deal breaker for me. I would never own a vehicle without foglights.

When driving in the city or other well lit areas I usually don't use my fog lights. I do sometimes use them when driving on the highway but I especially like using them when driving on country roads; they do make a difference!

As far as draining the battery, using the fog lights draws less power than the high beams. High beam = 55 watts, fog light = 27 watts. The way the lights are wired, the fog lights are automatically turned off when using the high beams so using the fog lights all the time should not be a problem, unless you have a weak battery!
