Yes or no. I only use mine when it's raining or when there's fog since I read in the user's manual that it can overload the smart alternator.

When driving in the city or other well lit areas I usually don't use my fog lights. I do sometimes use them when driving on the highway but I especially like using them when driving on country roads; they do make a difference!
As far as draining the battery, using the fog lights draws less power than the high beams. High beam = 55 watts, fog light = 27 watts. The way the lights are wired, the fog lights are automatically turned off when using the high beams so using the fog lights all the time should not be a problem, unless you have a weak battery! |
