Here is a link to HomeLink that will provide a video instruction on how to program your system.

http://www.homelink.com

Unfortuately, it doesn't list the Elantra as an option...just select the Sonota Sedan...the instructions are the same.

A step not mentioned (becasue they don't mention the integrated rear view mirror option), is the rear view mirror needs to be turned off...the autodimmer feature sometimes interfers with the garage door signal (during programming). This only happens while programming your system...after that, you can turn your rear view mirror back on and all should work well.

If you are still having problems, contact them at 1-800-355-3515. They were extremely helpful and very patient with my non-tech self.

Thank you for posting Homelink's 800#. I couldn't get Homelink set up on my wife's new 2012 Elantra Ltd until the pleasant Homelink rep helped me out. Thanks again.

New2Elantra, what did the Homelink rep have you do? I just got the mirror installed but the LED will not blink at all when trying to reset the homelink buttons (#1 & #3 pushed simultaneously). In fact it will not blink at all when any of the buttons are pushed. Thanks in advance for your response.

I've programmed mine to all three buttons (both of ours and a friend's garage door) and both times the auto-dimming mirror was on. I had no interference trouble and don't see why it should have any effect at all.

When clearing the Homelink, you have to press and hold the two buttons for at least 20 seconds although I think it's probably more.

Slow Blink* - Not programmed
Rapid Blink - Rolling code programmed
No Blink - Non-rolling code programmed

* Less than once per second. If you just briefly press the button, it would appear as though it were going to stay on solid.

I'm thinking that the mirror was not installed correctly by the technician. Only the green mirror LED is illuminated and it never blinks, regardless what button is pushed. The LED does extinguish when the power button is pushed and the compass does turn on and off with the press of the corresponding button. I think this will require a trip back to the installing dealer.

What technician? I thought the homelink mirror was a manufacturer's option and not a dealer option.

My 2012 did not come with it so I hadn't local dealership install one. I guess the tech installing it forgot to do/connect something. I'm just happy that the self dimming function works.

Default Manual?

Does anyone have a link to the user manual for the Auto-Dimming Homelink mirror with compass? The dealer didn't give me one, and my compass is showing numbers. Want to fix that soon...

Thanks in advance
