I understand the winter tires and second set of rims, but the rims really deter from the beauty of the car. I know you'll be happy for Spring so the alloys can go back on. If I had to remove my chromed rims for winter driving, I don't know what I'd do...

Personally, if I had to drive with a bunch of snow on the road, I wouldn't care what my rims looked like. Safety first.

I agree the steelies are ugly, but I can't stand hub caps. Just my opinion and experience, but they tend to crack, come loose, rattle, wobble etc. The bare steelies work fine for me. Only on the car for 3-4 months, then the alloy's go back on. Can't wait!
