I've had my 2011 2.0T Limited for close to two years and 14K miles. I've been out of touch w/Hyundai reports over the last six months or thereabouts.
I remember Hyundai releasing a TSB that went into detail about driving X/mph in X/amount of seconds to end up completely in the other lane as their definition of a pull, but what was the final remedy? Was spinning the wheel and tyre, on a Hunter Road Force GSP 9700, for unacceptable amounts of lateral force deemed the salvation? Was there a basic universal solution? Left strut/right strut/specialized camber bolt or subframe realignment combo platter? I ask as I demonstrated to myself on my car that 50 lbs placed within a roughly 0-18" of the right rear corner panel inside the trunk would fairly well stop the left pull on my car. I'd have to dig out my notes, but the weight was noticeably losing leverage once it was placed ahead of the right rear wheel as I recall. I much preferred that option to all the hoo-doo voodoo they performed grossly manipulating the steering effort through bizarre MDPS settings. Due to the 18" wheels and low profile tyres combining w/slant of the crown riding solo I speculated that perhaps stiffer roll bars would inhibit the phantom left pull on my car. Primarily I concluded the rear bar as the 50lbs weight was either balancing my weight or perhaps/as well causing a differing profile on the right rear tyre and to a lesser degree the left front counterpart. There was definitely something to do w/weight placement as a full tank came close to neutralizing the balance that progressively became worse w/more fuel used resulting in less weight in the tank. So much for bring you up to speed on my car's nuances. Was the left pull problem identified and resolved save a small percentage that continued to arbitration? |

Form waht I remember reading on various threads on this forum, different cars were fixed differently - alignments, new tires, following TSDB (replacing various components)...
There's no single magic bullet that I saw.
