UPDATE**** The squeak is fixed, and is exactly as posted above. The cross bar was the culprit. In my case the removed the cross bar and installed a padded tape between the mating surfaces, then retightened to spec. Quiet as a church now. My Hybrid is finally 100% perfect. I love this car, and this experience, although frustrating, did allow me to get to know my service manager and experience some of the most friendly, pleasant and conscientious service I've seen in 25+ years of car ownership. Truly first rate.

The noise is coming from the panoramic sunroof when going over a driveway incline and the front of the car is at a different level than the rear. It is a stress creak. No doubt about it. I can live with it and wouldn't worry about it.

It will get worse... trust me, and you will not be able to live with it. Mine got louder and louder until it was audible on every road irregularity and heard over the music. Enjoying the silence since the fix.

It is a known problem. Mine has been in the shop 2z totalling 7 weeks to try to fix the Rattles and hums.

I'm hoping it is just the headliner not being fully secured in one spot or something. I'm going to ask my dealer to check it if and when the evap sensor part comes in.

My dealer is telling me that they will not attempt to repair the problem until Hyundai issues a TSB for the problem. Do you know how I can get around this and get them to go ahead and fix the problem. I have provided them with the discussion on this forum but to no avail...

Send them e-mail and call them with this lack of concern with your dealer. This problem deserves a TSB as it has happened to others.

Thanks for the update, I have had the squeek for a couple of months now. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times so far.... They ordered some headliner parts and installed them today, but the squeek is still there. I will talk to them about this fix.

I had the same creaking rattling issue in my '12 2.0T Limited. I took it in and they said that the panoramic had some loose fasteners. They tightened them down and the noise is gone. It is now as quiet as the day I got it. I am very satisfied w/ my dealer to date.

Techs removed the liner, and re-torqued all 9 screws. That was 1.5 weeks and 800+ miles ago, and I haven't heard a peep since.

I noticed a squeaing/creaking while driving and if the car goes over any irregularities in the road. It started about 2 months ago. At first I thought it was coming from the passenger rear door area, but after having a hyundai mechanic drive around with me, he thinks it may be from the panoramic roof area. He's in "research" trying to figure out what's wrong by calling other hyundai techs, or whatever he said. It's getting worse and driving me to the nut house.
He figured it may need lube, so he's ordered a "special" lube and I'm waiting for that to come in. But, I'm gonna let him know it tid bit of info too so they could address that.
