Default 2013 Tuscon and floor mats do not snap in place ?

Hello,

Only had our Tuscon not even two weeks and today decided to check to see how the floor mats are held in place. Well, from what we can determine, they are not !

Nubs in carpeting are round and the holes in the floor mats are rectangular, thus you can not put a round object into a rectangle.

Owners manual states that floor mats are supposed to lock in place to prevent them from sliding forward, up onto gas pedal, and to only use Hyundai floor mats. Well, we have our brand new vehicle with brand new floor mats and they do not lock in place.

Wondering if anybody else has had this experience or problem ?

Called dealer and explained the issue, said they ordered a new set for me, I'll find out tomorrow if they get it right.

Ahh, yes... Isn't it great when people blame their stupidity on others!

Fully understand... but then to go off and say "Problem solved ! But not due to any help on this forum, with not even one reply. Thus I am out of here, leaving others to figure it out for themselves ......."
He's basically giving the forum the middle finger due to the lack of responses after two days, however, it was all due to his mistake!
