Default Sat Nav/Bluetooth updates

I was just wondering whether anybody has had their software updated to their media pack on the Ix35? I bought my vehicle last year and have had continual problems with the bluetooth system. I can connect and hear people but they describe my transmissions as a bit on the Norman Collier side breaking up all the time. I was informed that there was a software update for the system and so had mine updated last Friday 16th September. The version I have had mine upgraded to is 4.5.7.2Q3 bluetooth version 1.5.0. It was a 3.2 GB update taking an hour to do. I am questioning though whether this is the lastest version as others have stated that the latest version is around 5.1.3 dated August 2011. My update is dated as 15/5/2010 which seems a little old bearing in mind I bought the vehicle in September opf 2010!!! Can anybody help please

My IX35 has just been in for its first-year service and the media system has been updated to whatever is latest version. Remind me again how to check version number?

I did notice straight away I can now stream audio via bluetooth from my iPhone.

groovyf Thanks for the update. if you turn on the vehicle and then turn on the st nav system to either maps or nav, wait for about 10 seconds for the system to boot up then push AND HOLD DOWN the circular 'cog like' looking set up button. Holding it down will take you past the first menu it usually brings up then takes you into the version numbers of both your sat Nav and bluetooth with the dates. It also brings up your user ID for the system. I'd be very interested to know what the version numbers are. I've been back to my dealer and told them that their update is basically out of date. They assure me that was what Hyundai have sent them but are chasing it up. Thanks again for your help

Don't hold your breath!!
I wrote to Hyundai in March of this year expressing my dissatisfaction with the out of date system. I was told there will be an update in June and after chasing again it still was not available. I had the car serviced in August and was told there was an update (my car was bought July 2010) so the current map was over a year old.
I obtained the update and as it takes around an hour decided to load it on a long run to London. Well its useless months out of date still .There was a new by pass opened near me in December 2009 which was not on the old version and I assumed it would be on the latest software. Well its not and this is typical of all these built in units shocking after sales service. These units add around 500 to the purchase cost but are totally ignored by the manufacturers ( not only Hyundai) I am having to rely again on my tom tom as it is possible to update maps on a 3 monthly basis and load speed cameras. It really is time manufacturer's focused on this. I dont mind paying the same fees as Tom Tom but 80 for an outdated map update is nothing short of extortion
