Ebay has them , just type in ghost or shadow lights..these gold ones the lens barrel wanted to rotate when shaken ..I had to apply black tape around the inner barrel so they would stay still

I like the idea,maybe on a switch,

thanks to youtube ,Pulling the door panel 2 screws and pop clips takes less then 2 minutes with little practice (use plastic trim removal tool from cheap auto supply store) then unplug the 2 plugs (light and controls) and unsnap the door handle lever they all have push tabs for easy removal.
(3 plugs on drivers side)

BE CAREFUL!!
If it is that difficult to disconnect you may be pulling crooked or not have the tab depressed enough and please "don't" pull on the wires

drill a hole with the supplied drill bit, (flat area in the pic works well)
screw in lens,
tap into existing wires for courtesy light
clean up wiring (black tape and zip ties)
plug in the door panel "light only" to adjust lens direction to desired angle
( optional - I used caulking to keep the light from turning and coming loose)

Done

reapply door
remember to hook up all 3 connectors before popping the door back on

enjoy your new puddle light!

I debadge all my cars, don't need to be advertising for Hyundai or the local dealers.
It's a very cool car, just not screaming it from the mountain tops.

I take the dealer logos off too but the only way you can NOT advertise for Hyundai is by not buying their cars... When someone asks you what kind of car it is you advertise them by telling that person what kind of car it is... Keeping the factory badges those doesnt really constitute screaming it from the mountains but putting Sonata in big letters on you back window or down the side of you car would... lol
P.S. I want those headlights...

I could still debadge the car
the shadow lights are only on when the door is open

They are the gold gen 5 model that can have the slide changed without pulling the door panel
They are 5W cree led ...however the issue I have with this model js they wont stay in alignment. .they rotate when shaken
I have more on the way and ill try those

I live in a state where only a rear plate is required. So a lot of folks put a custom plate on the front . . . like schools, mascots, pro teams, etc. Some even put their cars manufacturer's logo up there.

Among car logos, one rarely sees anything other these two:

Audi would be a very distant third-- and that Indian luxury model from Tata Motors would be fourth. I don't ever recall seeing a Kia, Hyundai, Yugo, Nissan one-- but I'm sure they might be out there somewhere.

stick on style

I suspect that you will still have to pop the door and connect the wires to the courtesy light

Just installed my new ghost lights today. I like'em alot. Mine looks exactly like the pictures from the first post so I won't go out of the way to post pics. I am/was having the same problem as far as the "H" turning on me when I would open and close the door. I used a little tape to help keep it in place. If that doesn't help I'll open it back up and think of a more permanent solution.
Thanks to my friend at work who helped me with this project. Not saying I couldn't have done it myself but it was nice to have a second pair of hands around to hold up the door panel while I adjusted the positioning.
Cool mod. Thanks littlefoot, before you posted this I never heard of or saw such a thing. :D

I would never think this is dumb i just bought my 2012 sonata a month ago and the front two door ghost lights where the first upgrade i did. Now im doing the back two while doing a full make stereo upgrade. I bought the Android touch screen head-unit, kicker DS series door speakers two paires, kicker under seat hideaway all in one encloser for some moderate bass, and alpine 4 channel amp to push door speakers. Im doing the full install with second pair of ghost lights once i receive everything in the mail so like two weeks im gonna make a new thread and post pictures for the full make over. So how did you wire the back two door ghost lights? ( Tap into fuse box for postive and negative of BCM?) Just curious.
