Llumar (and a great installer) has worked very well for me two cars in a row. It's been on the car almost 7 years and it still looks fantastic.

Sadly the guy who tinted mine exited the business. Not sure who I'll have do the next car, but I will find another Llumar installer for sure.

I've only had Llumar ceramic tint on my cars. But everyone seems to love 3M also. I've never heard of Huper Optik.

Pinnacle Series - FormulaOne High Performance Automotive Film

Consider FormulaOne/Pinnacle Grp & Look at the Specs Link at Top Right for some perspective Vs. Others you like (+ Film Viewer /Warranty/FAQ Tabs).

Lifetime Warranty at ANY Authorized Dealer.

I think Llumar owns them.

[35] Is State Limit and I Pd $300 for Pinnacle 35 for Side-Rear Windows BUT I've seen Less $$ per location.
Pd $25 later for Sun Roof Glass in 20 Llumar Tint, I think.

I second a vote for Llumar's Pinnacle series tints. I've has my 2012 Limited for a year now, and had this installed within the first month of ownership. The stuff is great in Utah's 100+ degree summers, and certainly helps keep the interior comfortable in the high heat. No issues with cell, GPS, radio, satellite key fob operation or anything like that either. The ceramics are definitely the way to go.

Just be sure to keep it legal based on your location, and remember that your base glass has a tint of about 30% already - so anything you add will be compounded by that. Any competent tint shop will measure before they apply, and will also know all the local laws concerning how low you can legally go.

Here's the Llumar Spec Link but remember you'll find Pinnacle that uilleann suggests, too, on the FormulaOne site I gave (I believe FormulaOne is a "step-up" from its Llumar parent).

I must admit to having a Made-for-Sonata Windshield-Shade & I try to park directly into the sun to limit side-window sun/heat exposure - even with Tint. Good luck.

Keep in mind a tint is only as good as its installer. I had 3M put on a car and it was a craptastic experience. I will never put on 3M again.

I put on Formula one on the Sonata where as previously I was only interested in looks. I wanted the heat rejection for my kids. My installer was great and the film performs so I win on that account.

I also had "cheap" film put on my MR2 by a great installer as well. After a couple years it still looks great. And to my surprise the guy that put on the tint on the MR2 broke off from that shop and bought his own shop so I got a double win!

Do your research and find a GREAT installer. Typically great installers are only going to use reputable films anyway.

For my money it's LLumar and the installer I've trusted for the past 12 years.

I have 20% Huper Optik X-treme all around on my TSX and they're great! I have Ebony interior as well so it helps alot. Keeps the majority of the heat out during summer
