I am also one for Llumar. That is the tint I have put on all my cars (about 10 cars) since I was 16 (I'm 33 now...wow...I feel old now). Never had a problem. Others are right about getting a good installer. But even if you have a bad installer and it peals or bubbles then you get it replaced for free from any Llumar installer.

Also make sure that you go with a ceramic based tint and not metallic. Since our radio antennas are not external but in the rear windshield..metallic tints can cause interference with weaker signals.

IMO, the installer is more important than the tint manufacturer. A good installer will not only put the tint on correctly, but will not use tint from a low quality manufacturer and may offer several tint options that they can explain and help you chose based on your priorities.

Thanks for all the advice. There are a couple of really good installers I've spoken with just have to decide now between 3M FX-Premium or Huper Optik because of price. Can't really afford ceramic tint as they quoted me close to 300-400 for my car, but have assured me that the tint they use is non metallized.

If possible, save up and wait just a little longer. Get the ceramic and do it right. Don't rush, and wish you would have gotten the best...for just a little more.

You have a point, was just hoping to spend less than 200 on tint, but I will have this car a long time, might as well do it right the first time.

Bingo! The extra $50-$100 isn't worth kicking yourself over for the next, what...6-10 years?
