Have anyone attempted to change their stock navigation to an aftermarket one?
If you'll ask me why i have a few reasons: Stock Navigation CONS: - No video out - Unable to update maps manually - Unable to play DVD - Small screen Aftermarket CONS: - Stock rear cam may not work - Might lose the temperature reading Aftermarket PROS: - Ability to update maps and gps program manually - can play DVD - has 3G capability - Ability to add headrest monitor So again have anyone attempted to change their stock navigation?

Hi,
The OEM rear camera works as you can see on the pictures attached. About the temperature reading I can't help you since my car didn't came with stock navigation. Maybe is possible to install the regular watch/temperature like this one I'm using: Digital Clock Fits 2011 YF Sonata | eBay My stereo is a Pioneer AVH-P8400H by the way. |

Actually my car didn't have bluetooth from factory, so I had to use my Pioneer microphone, but answering your question, looks like is possible to use the OEM microphone, because before my Sonata I had a Corolla and I did use the OEM microphone on a Kenwood aftermarket unit.

You will not be able to use your stock microphone. Going from stock nav to an aftermarket one your opening up the biggest can of worms. There is going to be so much you have to change out.

Actually it has a small connector with 4 wires 2 for power and 2 for video in the trunk.
But this cable is connected to other one that has the RCA connector that ends close to the glove box. With the RCA there is positive and negative cable for power, the positive one I split for the rear sense connection on the stereo, so when you engage the rear, the camera turn on and your display changes for rear view.
