I just got the new iphone5 and I got into the Sonata and realized my hyundai iPhone wire won't fit my IPhone5. I paired the new phone but I don't think my music was complete D/L because no music played on the radio, I used the USB but that wasn't charging the phone?
Any suggestion? |

The cable that Hyundai supplies is stated as an IPOD cable. The old Iphones worked because they have the same connector but I think it was designed with the ipod in mind for the most part. The number of people using ipods and old iphones compared to the number of people with Iphone 5's now is probably a lot greater of a number. So until more Apple products come out with the new adapter I don't think Hyundai will change the cable.
BTW this is why Apple makes all it's money. They know how to squeeze money out of the consumer without them even caring. By switching to the new connector they just made nothing compatible and you have to buy even more Apple products like adapters, new chargers if and when you lose yours, etc... Droid Razr Maxx HD FTW! Sorry for the rant. |

All companies do this. Look at Windows 8. I have to upgrade all of my work computers to windows 7 because they won't support XP anymore. Not that I am disagreeing with you. I think its crap too! |

All you need is the USB LIghting cable. just plug it into the USB port and then to your iPhone. On a regular basis i use my i phone touch without the Hyundai ipod cable. I only use the Apple cable and it lets me pick music right through the stereo.

Me too. I have always just used the apple supplied cable and just plugged it into the USB port in the car. It displays my music on the radio and allows me to search music through the car stereo.
