Drives YF Sonata Hybrid

If I trade in the next 3-4 years, it will be to go back to a convertible. I am waiting for the re-designed Mustang to be revealed in a year or so, and then I will decide what particular convertible to get (or whether to get an used Mustang instead of a new one).
If I don't get a convertible, I intend to drive the Sonata long enough that I don't currently know what will be on the market when I am ready to buy! |

I'm considering another Sonata. If they can improve the steering and quiet down the cabin, it would make my decision easier. It would be a turbo this time.

I plan on keeping the Sonata for ~10 years, but plan on buying another vehicle to replace my Jeep GK in three years. Top contenders on my list are another Jeep or possibly Santa Fe/Sorento.
The wife wants a Toyota because its a Toyota, never mind the every other month recall on the Camry. You would think that I'd be able to get through an entire oil change between recalls, but that's the price of ownership. At least the local dealership has a really nice waiting area. I'm thinking about just rebadging whatever I choose as a Toyota... |

I've considered using sound absorbing materials in the doors and floors to quiet the ride. I test drove virtually everything in the Sonata's class and NONE of them are quiet. I really didn't notice much difference between them. It's only going to get worse as cars get lighter to meet higher mileage mandates |

Probably either a Mazda 6 diesel, or the new Tesla compact/midsize sedan that's supposed to come out in 2015, assuming I can afford it. The target price is around $30,000. I'd say add on the typical $20k Tesla premium to get one with decent range and equipment.
