I am also considering the MRR HR2 wheels similar to what Merf has on his Sonata, but smaller. I was looking for them on the internet and I saw a few complaints about them going "out of round." For you guys out there who have/had them, have you known of any problems like this with the MRRs. I am looking at the 19" wheels.

keep in mind 19 inch tires are also more expensive..One of the main reasons I went to 20's. they will fit just the same.. you have to wath for width on any size rim you get. 18,19,20, etc. I have seen no complaints about MRR, in fact they lean toward the more expensive cars.. mercedes, audi, etc

So are you saying that 20's in an 8 or 8.5 are easier AND cheap to come by than the 19's?
I've also been thinking of shodding the 18's with some snow tires and going to 19's or 20's for the NICE weather months. (with out dropping mind you)
Any clearance issues if NO drop is done? (depending on the offset?)

Same here. Almost winter in NJ so I'm formulating my plans for the summer now.

Why is that? I would think 20's have more surface space and would be more expensive.

Why I love this forum, don't even have to ask just look and find what I'm looking for.

19's are more expensive due to market share. 20's are larger tires with more material, but you don't see many auto manufacturer's pushing stock 20's out unless they are very high-end sports cars or SUV's.

19's are very common OEM equipment for many manufacturer's such as BMW, Mercedes, Infinity, etc., hence, greater market share and mark-up. Back in the days when 20's first came out, they were expensive and you would be a "baller" if you had them, but they are more common now.

Up to 20's on stock height is no problem with rub if you have the right offset. You will actually have more tolerance compared to someone that is lowered.

My wife drives our Sonata with 20x8.5 +38 offset with 245/35/20 all around at stock height and it still rubs on all four corners. The front rub on the liner clip up front toward the bumper when she hits moderate bumps and those clips break off, so I buy them by the bag at the dealer...25 cents each. The rears only rub when loaded down and you hit a moderate bump...rubs on the clip that joins the liner to the rear bumper.

I would recommend nothing wider than a 8.5 +40 to +42 if you want to go 245's. lower offset should go 235's with a slight stretch.
