Well it seems like most of us are getting a large amount of paint chips on the front bumpers of our vehicles. I've been considering getting a clear bra like the one on the following link : Clear Bra Precut for Hyundai Sonata 2011 Mega Kit Best Value | eBay
Ive got them priced out for body shop and dealership, they are asking 300-400 for just the front bumper. Has anyone gotten this done or bought a do it yourself kit? How was it and did it work? |

I had 3M material installed on a car before and for the front bumper, leading edge of the hood, and mirrors it was right around $400.
I personally installed the same material on my last car, the kit cost me about $200 and it took a buddy and I about 3 or 4 hours to install. Major PIA. My recommendation is to have it professionally installed...a couple hundred bucks is well worth saving yourself the hassle.

I had VentureShield film installed on my 2012 2.0T SE right after I received it last Nov. Full bumper, front 1/3 fenders and hood, front of mirrors and a strip on the top of the rear bumper below the trunk opening. NO paint chips after a year. Well there is one stone chip on the top of the car above the front pasengers head, Murphy's law. VentureShield is slightly thinner than 3M but is carried by 3M. $599 installed. Well worth it IMHO.

Lifetime warranty?? Thats great. They usually tend to turn a yellowish color or foggy after a few years. They also pick up dirt around the edges over time. Ive seen a lot of cars come in my shop with this issue

Thank everyone...defiantly not going to put a kit on myself. I've emailed one and they said they could do the hood, bumper, mirrors, and the lower part of the rear bumper for $580. I will see if there are any others and go from there.
